Otso is above all, the story of a collaboration between three mens, Jose Luis Navarro and Carlos Ortiz de Zarate of the craft distillery “BASQUE MOONSHINERS” in Vitoria-Gasteiz (Spain) and Florian Abadie, founder of the collective “BRASSEURS UNIS” dedicated to the promotion of craft beer in France.
Two are from Basqueland, as much apothecaries as distillers, collecting the botanicals and -with the benefit of their experienced palates- distilling all sorts of ingredients in search of new sensations.
The third one is French and passionate about trialling hops during distillation, certain of their aromatic potential and the richness which they can bring to the creation of a Hoppy Dry Gin.

Our german manufactured still is an alembic with two columns. One column has 16 plates to offer the maximum purity for our base alcohol and the second, shorter, to simulate a pot still and retain the maximum aromas in our gins.
